IP PBX
Two years ago you bought a 6x16 PBX. Your business has grown faster that you expected, which is great news. But unfortunately, if you want to expand your current system to support 50 extensions, you will have to first get rid of your existing hardware at pennies to a dollar. You ask yourself, why can’t I simply upgrade?

You will also need additional, and even worse, proprietary hardware, if you want to:
1) Have voice mail for your staff
2) Call greeting with auto-attendant
3) PC based operator console
4) Connectivity to IP networks

With UBM’s IP PBX solution, you get to keep your 6x16 PBX, add
unlimited new extensions, and get all the above new features –
without throwing away your current investment!

Traditional PBX doesn’t support fast growing businesses
Growing Business
Vendor lock-in problem with Traditional PBX

The private branch exchange (PBX) has been the reference standard for business telephone systems for decades, but of late, its age has been showing. While the computer industry has changed vastly, telephone systems until relatively recently have changed only superficially. They are expensive, proprietary, and often so arcane that only factory-authorized dealers have the remotest clue how to manage them. This, coupled with the emergence of open source Voice over IP (VoIP) technology, leaves PBX on the verge of obsolescence

IP PBX Market Penetration Growth

Sales of IP PBX have been growing since their introduction in 1998, and most recently, they have taken over the traditional exchange in terms of new sales.

What is IP PBX?
An IP PBX is a private branch exchange (telephone switching system within an enterprise) that switches calls between VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol or IP) users on local lines while allowing all users to share a certain number of external phone lines. The typical IP PBX can also switch calls between a VoIP user and a traditional telephone user, or between two traditional telephone users in the same way that a conventional PBX does. The abbreviation may appear in various texts as IP-PBX, IP/PBX, or IPPBX.
